From elementary school in Upstate, NY, the topic of “civics” were defined as exercizing your rights to vote, to free speech, to the pursuit of happiness and following the laws of  Local, State and Federal governments.  Your responsibilities were therein defined for citizenship.

In the 1960s I learned of peaceful resistance and demonstration leading to the American public being able to make a difference in government actions.

I also learned of the Government’s intent with the Kent State murders as the government turned fire on a peaceful demonstration and murdered students.  The opening shots of the War on the American population were fired and followed up with a War on Drugs.

I was born under an Eisenhower Presidency, became conscious in the Kennedy Camelot when the American Public, American Labor, last made any compensation gains from the corporate Amerika that was purchasing its power in Congress and destroying the middle class.

Lyndon Baynes Johnson obtained Medicaid for US Senior citizens and what was decried as “bankrupting America” is a widely accepted boon to the quality of life for an ever increasing portion of the population today.

I survived Nixon, Ford, Carter, Regan, the first Bush thief, Clinton, dumb as a box of rocks George W Bush and helped to elect Barack Obama because we want change.

That change is government responsibility, transparency and leadership that is of benefit for all Americans.

Like many Americans, we are watching the current Congressional antics with great concern and outright horror on most instances with the fear-mongering, lies and fraud being perpetrated by the elected officials who have sold out American Citizens to the interests of the Insurance companies, rewarded Wall Street and the Banks with TARP and done nothing to help the American Citizen today.  Congress, thanks to dumb as a box of rocks George W Bush, did what Ron Paul has been very successful as a politician at, in delivering Government Money to their “Districts.”  The Corporate Interests, the Banks and Wall Street with the State Governments being secondary, are the “districts” that the current politicians recognize as their constituents. Not the voting public.

Let’s just get that thought clear here and understand the truth contained.

The Government, in staving off a “Depression” according to their economists and the Fed under Bush just transferred Trillions of dollars to the top 1% of this nation.

Do you, the average voter, the Citizen of the USA, see any benefit from the government with your small business or housing or cost of surviving paycheck to paycheck if you are fortunate enough to be employed?

Did you profit from “Cash for Clunkers?”

Where is the Government assistance in maintaining the American Dream of home ownership?

Does your family qualify for $8,000.00 government assistance for first time purchase of a home?  Funny how this covers the legal costs of closing with all the attorneys in Washington.  Go figure.

Make no mistake about it.  The Politicians on Capitol Hill have clearly demonstrated just who their constituents are from AIG to GM, Wall Street and Banking with TARP making the big get obscenely humongous at Taxpayer (yours and my) expense while mortgaging us to China.

I expect the Politicians, Wall Street, Bankers and Corporate AmeriKKKa will have its way and the Taxpayers, the American Citizens will just lay down and take it.

A solution is:

Grant every American Citizen access to the total funds the government says is held in our individual social security accounts to enable us to open small business, purchase homes, or pay for education. This is real, tangible enrichment of the American Citizen from money each has earned and the government stole from them before they were ever paid.  Corporations, business is mandated by the Federal Government to collect these taxes based on your daily wages before you ever see the money telling you to wait until you are 65 and pray that a fund exists to pay for it.  Keeping you ill and impoverished is the goal of government and the current population of Ignobility residing on Capitol Hill.

Fox falicy network entertainment (not News) may be the standard for the Republicans, Rush Limbaugh, Glenn Beck, And the Blond Bimbo talking head, Ann Coulter, but these are of no service in this serious moral debate on a national level.  The Republican Right has no position and no leg to stand on.  Their position is clear:  Don’t get ill.  If you do get ill. DIE QUICKLY.
