Sunday Sadness

The “Health Care Reform” that is now moving in the legislatures is not the broad sweeping reform that is sorely required in the USA by any stretch of the imagination. The current form of this legislation is basically a gift to the Insurance and Drug Companies by subsidy from the American Taxpayer while Insurance Companies and Drug Companies are left free reign to inflate prices, reduce services and deny coverage.  This is a travesty of spineless politicians invention that panders to the money power of Insurance and Drug companies’ purchasing of Capital Hill.

As an American of moderate intelligence I am more than able to understand the farce of “reform” as it is moving now. This demonstrates the same contempt of the American Citizen that the current Financial Conditions represent.  Corporate AmeriKKKa has won this in spades and we are all going to pay the cost and that cost is astronimical.

I am deeply saddened by the passage of this bill because it is going to do more harm than good in the overall economy by creating financial difficulties in the Small Businesses of America and in every household of the working poor and remnants of the Middle Class. This current legislation does nothing to provide health care to 130 million Americans who are uninsured or underinsured and is virtually worthless in the “reform” aspect that is too much touted as a panacea to the public.

The American Prospect publishes and Robert B. Reich writes this article that squarely addresses the real issues in this development.

I support President Barack H Obama and am a staunch supporter of a Single Payer, Universal Health Care to compete with the obscene Health Insurance Industry that has enjoyed special protections on levels that not even the Bankers and Wall Street thieves have enjoyed. President Barack H Obama lost a tremendous political opportunity through his negligence and failure to confront the Health Insurance Industry and PHARMA.

I pray for and am working for a house-cleaning from the State House to the purchased politicians on Capital Hill in 2010 who represent the Corporate Communists to the expense of the American Citizens whom they are elected to represent. Given the fact that over 60% of the American public support Universal Health Care with the “expanded Medicare” a government run Health Insurance program as the option of choice the Health Insurance and PHARMA lobby have purchased the votes required to send a windfall of profits subsidized by the US Citizens and opens the door to massive profits through open invitation to increase costs at will.  This specially protected industry, Health Insurance, has defrauded, killed and openly held Americans in contempt for over 100 years now.  The purchased politicians on Capital Hill are on notice now that we are not going to go quietly into the night.  A strong public option is the only way to bring these greedy corporate communists into reality.
