Obligations And Responsibilities of Citizenship

Here’s a Orwellian reality that is with us now.  The Migrant Worker Program H2B and the like have accomplished this.  My first – hand experience with firing American Workers to replace them with Mexican H2B labor was an eloquent statement of hate.  We all know the Corporate Government is upon us.

Funny thing about Americans; they want to eat year-round.

Red-Card programs for “guest” workers…  Helen Krieble presents…

Re-Think Government?  What does citizenship mean?

Racial undertones?  ROTFLMAO

We need foreign labor?  That’s amazing to me with a “conservative” carrying on about “market control” of the labor force and current 10%+ unemployment rates.  Perhaps if American Industry became realistic about living wages they would discover a willing workforce.

I’m sure there is a vast wealth of rant-worthy material espoused by this lobbyist.  Who is she owned by? A Neocon a wholly owned subsidiary of herself…  That explains it.

Where is the Progressive Voice on these topics?  The Conservatives get talking points defined and the Progressive Voice is lost in response rather than leadership.  Funny how that “Death Panel” thing works.

Good News from Rachel Maddow:

America is purchased, the system is broken and the responsibility is that of the American Citizen who has not voted, who has not done his or her civic duty.

From Too Much Crazy as seen in Modern World.  The cartoon section is here.  Tom Tomorrow is the author…

Is there a moment of sanity?

We shall see..

One of my heroes in life is being heard at the Huffington Post.  Elizabeth Warren is still doing battle and threatening to engage in war…

This is an hour long post from UC Berkley:

Helen Krieble is not a lobbyist. She is a small business owner who understands the system well, hires numerous native American citizens, and also depends on H2B visas for some jobs (she has never fired a native to hire a foreigner). She knows exactly what she’s talking about. So why make your disagreement seem so personal? If you’re in business, you can’t just “discover a willing workforce” – you have to hire one. What is your real objection to a system for making that possible?

There is no “personal disagreement” with Helen Krieble and the video demonstrates a very polished lobbyist and well-trained in talking points propagandist. With American Citizen’s Unemployment at 10%+ and the reality check of Americans saying “enough is too much” the revolt of labor in the USA is in progress and Ms Krieble’s positions are pure Union Busting, Labor Busting and Oligarchy-driven presentation of less than truth.
There is a willing work force but American Industry, American Farming and Commerce have leveled contempt of the American Labor too often and without foundation.
I was employed by an American Company that declared its self to be completely dependent upon H2B labor to the point of firing domestic workers to replace them with Mexican Migrant Labor. I lived the experience and understand all too well the incentives for these workers.
    Thanks for the thoughtful comment.

You say it isn’t personal, but continue to trash Helen Krieble in the most disparaging terms like “lobbyist” and “propagandist.” Some people just have to wear their ignorance on their sleeve for all to see, I guess. But all you’ve really done is prove conclusively that you don’t know anything at all about her. Your personal history with the issue sounds tragic enough, though it has nothing to do with hers.
What happened to you is wrong – and it demonstrates in a very personal way the clear need for a better system.

OK, Ms Krieble isn’t registered as a lobbyist but the clear actions in the video are lobby activities. I have no axe to grind with Ms Krieble’s position on improving immigration and making a clear path to citizenship for anyone and everyone who desires to come to the United States. I do have real issues with the “red card” suggestion on multiple levels and know just how this mind-set is only one step from the current day slavery of illegal immigrants.
There is a better way but it requires the courage to tear down the existing Immigration & Naturalization Services that are corrupt, morally bankrupt and beyond repair. Quotas, profiles, bribery, denial of human relationships and a systemic failure of bureaucracy are the hallmarks of the existing system.
My personal experience with this H2B program extends from California, Texas, Arizona, Lousiana, Alabama and Georgia on Military Installations and is repeated nationwide as the H2B labor recounted horror stories of entrapment and enslavement by business people like Ms Krieble. The system is broken and the repair is as simple as a clear path to citizenship, honest and open borders and community resolution of immigration issues.
Unfortunately the Right-Wing and Cults of Jesus crazies have discovered that the Immigrant is as easy a target to lie about as the LGBT Community largely because of the powerlessness of the position. Having this Strawman “Other” to demonize, vilify and denigrate seems to empower the less than intelligent conservative.
The solutions presented by the Obama Administration may become a good start but Americans must come to an honest understanding that we all (with the exceptions of the aboriginal humans the Cults of Jesus and Western Europeans waged a genocide upon) are of immigrant stock and this helped to make America great.

Wow, you really are angry at a number of things that have nothing to do with this issue. Yet you are saying some of the same things she is saying. As is usually the case, there is actually a good deal of common ground, which you acknowledge somewhat. If you could stop yelling long enough to read all the material and focus on exactly what the Red Card Solution is (and is not), you might see a lot more common ground than you think.
