Manic Monday

“When one finger is pointing forward there are 3 pointing back.” Words of wisdom from Great Aunt Hattie.

The Waaaaaaaaambulance has arrived!

“Why do they express such vitriol toward “the media?”

Perhaps the narrative of lies and deceit is finally being fully exposed and Faux Spews has a license to lie from the Florida Courts demonstrating clearly as Fraudster Scott is in the State House that anything can be bought in this Koch Brother’s / Rupert Murdoch manipulated Culture War.

The Christ-O-Fascist tactics turned back on them reinforces the fearful fundamentalists perpetual victim’s exposure too.

Deny: “We, our actions and deeds, didn’t cause this.”

Discredit: “These Secular Socialists are out to destroy the United States.”

Demonize: “These librals and their Socialist Agenda are the problem.”

This piece of wonderful observed behavior from Jim Burroway at the Box Turtle Bulletin in his “How To Kill A Kid” column opened eyes for me because of the clarity of truth based in experience.

I’m proud of the Gay Community for the “It Gets Better” project providing real experience truth to those who are succumbing to the Missionaries of Hate.

Hump Day Happiness 2.1

I want to break free is a great day off anthem.

There are a Baker’s Dozen Phalaenopsis blooms dancing about in the tropic breeze this morning on the porch. Raspberry striped, pink shilleriana, amiablis and the Golden Buddha doing it’s orgasmic show with multiple branching bloom spikes.

Happy before the pill kicked in.  Wooo Hooo!  Day off.

Three kinds of beans, corn and my semperviviums have all poked their smiling little faces out of the ground today.  The warm is making things jump and keeping up the water for the next week of dry is a challenge but it’s going to be done.

I have a wonderful collection of Addenium obesum growing now with another 6 plants propagated from my favorite blood red colored one.  The seedlings are going to bloom for the first time this year so I’m excited and looking forward to some fun variations.  You know I’ll sell the ones I’m not really happy with and just buy some more seedlings to push.

Roger is out planting marigolds, zinnias and echinacea at the front of the vegetable garden.  I have a flat of seedlings started on the full moon for me.  Nitch Marketing on the way.  Herbs, odd-ball and blooming perennials are all wonderful sources of income.  Cut flowers and produce works to keep Roger in cigarette money.

Keeping the garden producing $50 to $100 a week in fresh veggies I don’t have to buy and now having surplus to sell is fun too. The neighbors get fed, we get fed fresh produce and the joy of gardening begins anew each spring.

The Holyhocks are screaming out of the ground, did I tell you the sempervivium are up too?  I love common house leeks or hen-and-chicks and remember seeing them planted roof-top in Germany.  A fun use of a rugged plant.  Yes I have the vegetable Leek and the Elephant Garlic leek both growing now too.

The English Peas are a foot high after the freeze knocked out the last group in mid-January.  Collards, Swiss Chard and Spinach for weeks and months yet with 5 flavors of lettuce, Bok Choi, Cabbage, Brussels Sprouts, carrots 5 flavors of potatoes (still waiting on my blue potato starts and the Yukon Gold with the Pink French Lady Finger being shipped soon.

The Strawberries may get one good bloom and crop of fruit before the heat does them in.  I’m trying an everbearing variety that did great in the cold northland so we’ll see what comes of these.  The Blueberry bushes are in full bloom with the citrus not far behind.  Spring in Central Florida.

Weekend Warrior 2.2

From Joe.My.God.  Flawless.

This just in:’s%20Housing%20Finance%20Market.pdf

Plotzed in the scraps of my day off, adorned in (PETA don’t look please) recycled Mink “Cave Man” Vest on the verandah with the dogs and peacocks howling for the moon.  A cat in heat sings the sensual howl of allure a Tom tonight.  Been there, done that, got the Tee Shirt and not going back for the Baseball Cap, thank you.

I’m being lazy and haven’t kept up with blogging this week even with the rain today it’s been run and construct by 5:20 PM a Grouper Oscar on a bed of fresh from the garden Spinach with Balsamic vinaigrette.  Broiled Grouper with white wine & butter topped with Asparagus, crab meat, another slab of Broiled Grouper and all smothered with Hollandaise Sauce.  Brown Rice with garlic and a fresh Cucumber & Red Onion salad in the same vinaigrette and it’s chow time.  Woooo Hooo.

A Victory Garden Delight.

Still being harvested:

Lettuce, Spinach, Chard & Collards.

Soon to be:  Turnip Fest!  Woooo Hooo! A Turnip cook off.  LOL

Cabbages for months.

English Peas, Yard-Long Beans and the burgundy one too, Yellow Wax Beans, Green Beans, Buttercrunch Lettuce for weeks.

My vegetarian self is craving tomatoes fresh from the garden.

The Potatoes are sprouting up 10″ with all this rain.

The carrots pushing a lovely ferny Bunny-Patch.

Cucumbers are potted and sprouting in seed cups in 2 flavors now and soon several more.

Mescalune mix sowed in the patch with Dill on the sunny end of the cucumber arbor with the 6″ raised planting beds all fertilized, limed, turned over and ready to plant.

We have Blue and Yukon Gold potatoes and on the way, Strawberries and Asparagus crowns too.

The tomatoes are sprouted to 4″ and perfect for field setting just after the last cold snap here around the Full Moon.

It cost me my diamonds but what the hell, it’s a thing.  I’ll cry later after replacement.

Monday Madness 2.1

The footage, provided by Euronews and subsequently seen on MSNBC, CNN and uploaded over a dozen times to the popular video sharing site YouTube, captures the fiery, violent protests in Cairo this past week … and something else. Between the crowds of protesters and barricades, the video shows a flowing, pale green image that resembles an erect rider atop a horse in Medieval-like barding. The ethereal figure remains for a few moments before floating over protesters’ heads and off the screen. The last of the biblical Book of Revelation’s Four Horseman of the Apocalyse, the “pale rider” is said to be the bringer of death and the forerunner of “hell” on earth. Is the image from Egypt a fulfillment of Revelation’s prophecy?

The Fearful Fundamentalist Christ-O-Fascists will be howling now.  The end is near.  Pray for their Apocalypse and the Rapture to take them and leave we secular socialists to live in peace.

The sons of the John Birch Society founder in all their bigoted glory.  This is the “entitlement” that’s driven America into the ditch and is hell-bent on the destruction of America and American Democracy.

House shopping is such fun in this market.  I think I’ll find a nice place to rent and see how low these prices will go.  Next week’s chores.

The sunshine is appearing in brilliant patches between the tall oaks and the vegetable patch with the chill rushing away.  Timmy came home from work ill and is lounging.  The Blueberries are fertilized and a sweet little colony of Bumble Bees moved in to help pollinate.  All that’s required are some warm temps.  Springtime in Central Florida.  I may find some Mason Bees and get a colony going.  They are easier than Honey Bees but I see the hives coming.  When this was all groveland back in the 70s and 80s being an apiarist was simple as harvesting orange blossom honey and then leaving the hive alone.  Because of the loss of that agriculture keeping Honey Bees now is a demanding task of feeding and planting food sources.

I have enough seed ordered to carpet the property here but am confining it to a proper cutting patch on the west of the front lawn.  $300+ in veggies, perennials and annuals to “deck the halls” as it were for this summer’s victory garden.  We will eat when others won’t and we help supply the neighborhood with fresh organic veggies.

Freaky Friday

Freaky Friday

This is the man’s seminal work:

The Goldman Sachs White House is pushing the Corporate Fascist position to pander to his Master’s wishes.

$2 Billion a week is pissed away in Af-Pak, the war so nice we’ve done it twice.

$2 Billion a week for what?

$2 Billion a week guarding Opium Poppies for the Oligarchy.

$2 Billion a week to feed the greed of Military Contractors.

$2 Billion a week for perpetual war.

$2 Billion a week and we are no safer.

Cut the Military 50% this year and 10% a year there after until it is back within reason and authority.

End the FED.

Roll Fannie & Freddie up into the American Home Bank with each Citizens Social Security Accounts as their shares paying dividends into the system and fully transferable upon death with a positive cash balance.  Make these funds available to all Citizens 30 years and above for primary home ownership, new business start-up or higher education as loans against savings.  The tool now exists to dismantle the FED and restore America.

As an American I am deeply distraught over the absolute contempt of Constitution and precedence in the open contempt demonstrated by the Roberts’ Court and the clear politicization of the Judiciary demonstrated clearly on too many instances to recount but just the reminder on the Commerce Clause being tried in State’s courts delivers partizan results.

This is the foundation for my personal contempt of the political process constructed by “the ruling class” and their Corporate Fascist master’s rape of Main Street.  The Kabuki of Washington’s inside the beltway intrigues is disgusting.  The Missionaries of Hate obscene and all too tolerated as DeMented and the turrettes-stricken Wilson demonstrate right along side Grassley, Inhofe and the rest of the C-Street Fellowship Boys helping build the “kill the Gays” bill in Uganda.  Completely repugnant and disgusting FACTS the media accepts while howling about the death of David Kato braying over lies as usual.

The Victory Garden is the center of life this year for me.  I’m focused on insuring we eat this winter because the way things are going the cost of food, fuel and depression are going to create lean times.  I may take to keeping goats too.  They are ultimately more gratifying than the bovine excrement that flies on the wings of rhetoric, Kabuki and open fraud of the Current Corporate Fascist Court of “elected” officials on the Hill.

The lettuce, carrots, spinach, onions, beans, tomatoes and peppers cranked out in the past 4 months is keeping the freezer full and the neighbors fed too.  There is still a great salad patch, a dozen or more harvests of spinach, 4 kinds of lettuce, potatoes, onions, carrots, turnips, arugula, collards, cabbages and broccoli with swiss chard and brussels sprouts for next fall too.

I remember the last great economic shift from the 50s to the 60s, my history has a solid foundation and the last Gilded Age excess has nothing on today.

“When Fascism arrives in America it will be wrapped in a flag and carrying a cross.” Sinclair Lewis.

Recently I stumbled across an article in Bradblog from Earnest Canning that is well worth a quick read.

I’m working on getting better about posting again even with the chores in the garden and working now.  I’m enjoying some time with the parrots while posting this morning.  Maybe the worst of the cold is past now.

Why is it that the Bully always cries “foul” first?

This is what the Corporate Fascists are doing:

Nothing else to say.

Thursday Gray

Today, this morning, the Missionaries of Hate from the C-Street Family exposed in Jeff Sharett’s, The Family, holds the national prayer breakfast.  The attendance of our “Political leaders” in light of the David Kato murder is absolutely disgusting.  A freaking Yankee Snowstorm, birds falling from the sky kind of gray.  Suffocating.

The Phalaenopsis amiabilis has 30+ buds and the second bloom flew open today although like the first it will be a week or more before they are fully pumped up.  The cool and foggy mornings make them happy.

The garden is getting red potatoes put in, the bakers are already sprouted and growing in 3 rows and this will plant a block of 4 or 5 rows of red creamers.  A productive victory garden happening by design.  Wooo hoo.  We’re pulling the last of the green ice lettuce but the buttercrunch, ice box and romaine are still pumping with the spinach and arrugula.  The last of the green tomatoes are ripening in the shed and there’s a salsa party soon to be.

The peppers over-wintered so there will be early peppers in a month with this year’s crop of new tomatoes just getting their first sets of real leaves.  Roger is busy building the cucumber trellis out by where the English Peas, round 2, are just about 3-4″ tall.  There are collards and swiss chard greens with some turnip greens and roots coming along too.  May just make up a mixed batch of greens and consider it a spring tonic.

I’m in hog-heaven at the moment.  Avery is on my shoulder leering at the Cinnamon/Nutmeg Bisquick coffee cake smothered with fresh strawberries.  Just what a diabetic needs for breakfast…

My guilty secrets are breaking out again.  It’s a day off and I’m just not beating myself up over homemade goodies and fresh strawberries.  I’ll do penance for my “sin” this afternoon.  Tonight is a pulled-pork barbecue  sandwich with coleslaw and american cheese.  Just what the arteries need.  At this rate I’ll be grazing on bacon by noon…

Farm-life.  Americans deserve an agrinomic local base just to maintain sanity.  The Corporate grind is just not my style.

The veggie patch is a saving grace in life today and it only becomes more important each and every day that passes.

Hump Day!  Happiness?

Once a Grifter always a Grifter.  The Wizard in the Sky works in wondrous ways.

The narrative from the NYT is well deserved.
